In Nairobi we use various taxi services that we have found to be honest and helpful. Our favorite taxi service is QuickBird Tours and Travel. They make our airport runs (about $20 per trip) and take us all around Nairobi (about $5 per ride) when walking is not practical.
When we are ready to leave Nairobi to travel to Riosiri, where our Kenyan Headquarters and school are located, we use public bus service. The company we like is called Easy Coach and we usually are on their 8:45 AM departure from Nairobi to Rongo. Our return to Nairobi is always on their 9:00 AM bus from Rongo. The fare is about $10 each way and takes about 6 – 7 hours. You can visit their website by clicking here.
